An Introduction to Tasseography
Daily Tea Leaf Reading + Reflection
Tea has always been a ritual of comfort, pause, and transformation. But when the cup is nearly empty and the leaves remain, they whisper what’s hidden beneath the surface. This ancient practice of tasseography—reading tea leaves—turns a quiet moment into a sacred message.
Unlike traditional tarot or oracle cards, tasseography invites you to slow down, to notice, and to let your intuition interpret what rises. It’s the art of divination through your senses.
☕ Today’s Cup: A Spiral, a Branch, and a Tiny Heart
After sipping my tea (jasmine and mint today), I noticed three main shapes at the bottom of my cup:
A Spiral: something is looping—an old story, a thought pattern, or an unresolved emotion.
A Branch: new growth is forming, but only once the spiral is broken.
A Tiny Heart: soft love is present, perhaps from someone watching over or from within yourself.
🌿 Message:
You’ve been circling the same emotional terrain, hoping it will shift on its own. It won’t. But the branch is already growing—quietly, persistently, just beyond the loop. Love yourself enough to break the cycle.
🪞 Reflection:
Where in your life do you keep revisiting an old wound or pattern, hoping the next pass will feel different? Can you choose to step off the wheel and tend the new growth instead?
Sometimes the most loving act is walking away from the spiral before it becomes a storm.
✉️ Invitation:
If you’re reading this, I invite you to:
Brew a cup of loose-leaf tea today
Sit with the warmth, the scent, the ritual
When finished, turn the cup and notice: what symbols do you see?
This is a slow magic. A way back to yourself.
Until Next Time,
The Divine Forecast
